How do I transfer my messages from my old iPhone to my new iPhone 7?

I'm looking to transfer my messages from my old iPhone 6 to my new phone. So far, haven't been able to figure it out. Any suggestions?

If you backed up your iPhone to iCloud to iTunes, when you set up the new iPhone and restore from the backup, the messages will transfer.

The good thing about iPhone’s is that transferring all of your information is easy! With iPhone’s, you can choose to back up the phone with iCloud on your phone or iTunes via your computer.
