How can I avoid unintentionally triggering a new 24-hour TravelPass and yet still see my phone's location in the event of it being lost or stolen? I've read the FAQs at Verizon's website and spoken to an agent on the phone and understand that using airplane mode is the best suggestion to avoid triggering TravelPass. The problem is that if the phone is lost or stolen and in airplane mode, I will not be able to find its location. An agent on the phone suggested that instead of using airplane mode, I just keep the cellular data and roaming turned off. But on this site, Verizon customers note that they somehow triggered unwanted TravelPass days even when data and roaming were turned off.
