You don't say what plan you have.

Hawaii is a U.S. state, of course, and Verizon has no extra charges or roaming fees in Hawaii, or any other state for that matter. If you have texting included now, it is included when you are in Hawaii.

You will be fine. You can still domestic even if you are in Hawaii.

Reference. From  someone who lives in Hawaii and travels a lot around the Pacific rim.
