I've tried all the suggested ways to import contacts and none are working. Any advice? This phone is a replacement phone....does that matter?
Replacement for a previous iPhone? If you use the same Apple ID and you backed up your previous phone to your account, it should sync when you connect the Apple ID to to the new phone. If your previous phone was Android or something other than Apple, then were the contacts backed up to Verizon's cloud, or somewhere else?
SuzyQ's post is a good starting point. To add onto that - consider if your contacts are stored on any e-mail accounts or other "Sync" accounts which may have been set up on your old phone. These accounts would have been set up under "Mail, Contacts, and Calendars" under the Settings. iTunes and iCloud do not back up these contacts, as the assumption is made that you will be able to access those accounts again after restoring a backup.
