Like Jim is saying you have to either have backed up your contact list with Verizon backup Assistant OR you could check to see if that information stored in the iCloud. Although I am not sure if iCloud syncs that kind of information. worth looking into though.

You can do gmail contacts through iTunes when you sync your phone and click the name of the phone on the left side of screen when sync.

Now you can backup to iCloud with wifi so you don't need to use contact transfer app.
