I need to remove the SIM card in my iphone 4 but cannot find the slot.

I am upgrading from my iphone4 to a Pixel 2, both of them from Verizon. There is a hole on the top of my iPhone, but it opens nothing whatsoever. There are no holes anywhere else.

This is getting really frustrating. I've looked on YouTube and I've done web searches, but nothing fits.

The Verizon version of the iPhone 4 doesn’t use a SIM card
