helppleaseincabo, we hope you're having a fabulous time in Cabo! Let's get your iPhone working so that you can stay connected with family/friends while traveling. Did you enable the roaming capabilities on your device in Settings>Cellular>Roaming?
Did you add the free International Dialing feature and Global Data plan to your line before leaving the U.S? http://vz.to/134zbLK

Not to hijack, but headed to Mexico too. Got the $15 for 1000 minutes plan. Do I need anything else to call back to the US?

I ended up getting the same thing. However I kept getting text saying there were additional charges being added to my account. The $15.00 only covers text and calls I believe. It does not cover data (email, internet use).
Thank You,

Hello mityerk,
If you have already contact us and changed your plan to accommodate your travels then nothing else is needed to make calls back to the US. Just be sure to dial the full ten digit number. If you did not add a data plan then I suggest turning off your data connection to avoid international data charges and only using wifi.
