does it not?? it should when its on the lte network but probably not on 3g.. and if it was a deal breaker why are we all still verizon customers? we would have already jumped ship if it was. plus really how often do you really need talk and data?

Yes, there are no simultaneous voice and data on Verizon (as well as Sprint) iPhone 5.

Nope.  I have NEVER cared about this feature.  I know a lot of people disagree with me but I'm right, Smiley Happy

I'm kidding of course, but I do think it is funny how ATT made such a big deal about this in their adds when Verizon was killing them about coverage area.

I thought you can do data if its wifi while on voice.

Yes, the discussion has always been about when you are not on wifi.  Not clear who it would be a deal-breaker for. For many it doesn't matter, but that is partially because they have never been able to use it.

But, if you currently have an iPhone on VZ, it's probably not a big deal as you can't do it now (and if it is a big deal you would move to AT&T at the first opportunity, iphone 5 or not).  New customers might want to get the most capable iphone and choose AT&T.  And I guess dissatisfied Android LTE users who want to switch to the iPhone might also want to switch if they are used to the feature working.

If you buy in to network coverage/quality being more important, then I doubt if many people will pause just because of the lack of this feature on Verizon.

I have been with Verizon forever. I'll take the LTE coverage over the talk/data every time.

I have never had a problem with Verizon from NY to NC and the mountains of VA and NC.

By the way, did you know that the highest mountain in the lower US 48 east of the Mississippi is in NC.

I'm one of those for whom this will be sorely missed.  I'm coming from AT&T to Verizon because I mistakenly believed that with LTE this would no longer be an issue.  Now I'm stuck making the switch to Verizon and I'll have to wait a while before I can switch back.

It almost was a deal breaker for Verizon ... I strongly considered all that AT&T had to offer. But I like Verizon's range of service. I preordered the iPhone 5 but cancelled it when I found out it lacked the feature. I use data/voice daily on my Android device. I was so excited when I heard iPhone 5 was getting 4g, it wasn't a thought that it wouldn't have that feature. I hope they come out with an iPhone that will do so and I will switch from Android. So, I will look elsewhere for a new phone to upgrade to, maybe the Galaxy Note 2 in November. Still a fan of iPhone.....

i guess it cant, unlike the other lte verzion phones.. but that all being said, i would much rather be able to actually make that phone call and keep it then to also use data at the same time.
