Is there a warranty on my iPhone 6?

my I phone 6 shut off and will not turn back on. I do not have insurance. someone told me there was a warranty from Apple. So im wondering if this is true.

All iPhones come with 1 year warranty from Apple. You can extend that two years if you buy AppleCare Plus within a notch of buying the phone.
