I was using my lock button today and then all of a sudden it stopped working. Its an iphone 5 and i had it over a year. I cant restart my phone or anything because i need my lock button. I dont think i can take it back to get it fixed. What do i do?
Also i can press it really hard and sometimes it will work but not all the time
Take it to an Apple Store and have them evaluate it.
They will point you in the right direction and advise if it is covered and if not what the repair cost would be.
Mine has done the same thing. There are two contact points on the button. The right side of my lock button is completely out. If I push the left side of it, it works. Eventually, it will go out completely.
