Lost communication

For the last 6 months, as I drive around my area, I loose half the communication while talking.  I can hear my called party, but they can't hear me.  As I drive along, comm comes back, only to loose it again a short distance away.  This is a new problem I've never had before.  Customer service says there's no know issue in my area, but the problem continues to get worse (more areas demonstrating the problem).

I can usually continue proper connection even with only one bar on my signal strength, but now it doesn't matter what the signal strength is.

I've taken the phone off the car system and it doesn't change anything.

Is this Verizon or my phone?
