Low incoming calls volume

My iPhone 6s incoming calls volume is low and hard to hear at times even if the volume at maximum.

Is this phone new to you? Many smartphones are lacking in the call & clarity department compared to a flip phone.

I have yet to find a smartphone as loud or clear as my ancient flip phone. I tried EVERY phone in the Verizon store & the best I found for clarity were any of the iPhones & the Nexus 6. The rest were either lacking high frequencies, sufficient volume or BOTH.
