***Announcement: Early next week, we’ll be merging the current Fios and Wireless Communities into the all new Verizon Community! Beginning the evening of Sunday 12/4, both Communities will be placed in read-only mode. You’ll still be able to visit the Communities and browse content, but login will be disabled. On the afternoon of Monday 12/5, all users will be able to log into the new Verizon Community. We expect the new Community to be fully functional the morning of Friday 12/9. Moving Abroad

I am moving to the Czech Republic in a month & will be gone for 1 year. 

I have no clue what to do with my phone.. everything online sounds kind of wishy washy (saying i’ll have to use third party apps to call, that it’ll only work on wi-fi etc.)

I am moving alone, as a young female, so there is no way I’m gonna be able to live without having constant access to strong data for directions, calling, texting, & translation. 

Having my phone work virtually the same as it does in the US is very important to me. I would also like to keep this number if possible since it is linked to every account i have made since i was 11.

The last thing we want is for you to be without service in an unknown place. What is the make and model of your phone? Have you condisered using a local SIM card while traveling to make sure that the phone can stay on a connection to the local networks? ~Roger
