Siri doesn't respond to my voice prompts. Siri does activate, but cannot hear me. All other functions of microphone work correctly. I have tried several reboot options, and making sure Siri is on, etc. Nothing has helped so far.
I use Siri all the time, GreggHash1. Are you on the latest software update? Is there any physical or liquid damage to your device? http://vz.to/219i8WS When did you first notice that Siri is not working? Has Siri ever worked for you?

Hi Allison,
I have already answered these questions with two different Verizon Support technicians. I have the latest update. No damage to the device (microphone works fine for Voice Command and for phone/speaker calls). Siri had worked for the first months, but then suddenly stopped picking up voice commands. The visual part of Siri continues to work. I then noticed through trouble-shooting that the talk to text and text to voice does not work either. Hard reset through iTunes and setting back up as a new iphone (the last effort) yielded no results. I have also tried Apple Forum suggestions before contacting Verizon (and have duplicated these with Verizon Support).

had you tried to take iphone to apple store .it might better to take phone to apple store as on phone troubleshot is not always perfect.
GreggHash1, sounds like you have done a lot of the trouble shooting on your own. We appreciate you providing all the steps that you've done. Naansalad has offered a very good recommendation. Since this issue started, has there been any changes to the device (add a new case or screen portector)?

Good to hear that there is no physical or liquid damage to your device, GreggHash1. Siri is a third party application provided by Apple. I am not showing this as a known issue. I see that you have done everything on your end so lets have the Siri experts step in. Is there an Apple store close to you where you can bring the device into have it looked at?

No changes before the issue started. It has always been in an Otterbox with screen protector that is part of Case. I have only taken it out recently to make sure the case was causing issue.

GreggHash1, let me give you a few things to try. Double tap on the Home Button and clear all the Apps by swiping upward, this is going to release Memory, which Siri uses a lot of. Next go into Settings and toggle Airplane Mode ON then OFF.
Go into Settings > General > Siri - and toggle Allow "Hey Siri" ON & OFF then leave it OFF.
Go to Settings > General > Keyboard - and toggle Enable Dictation ON & OFF then leave it OFF.
Now go to back to Allow "Hey Siri" turn it on and see if it will set up.
If not go into Settings > General > Siri - and turn Siri OFF then turn it back ON. This will re establish the connection with Apple Server, this could take quite some time, then try Allow "Hey Siri" again.
What model iPhone is this and what version of iOS? I assume iOS 9.2.1
