My iPhone keeps dropping calls when connected to my home wifi

My entire family has problems with voice calls dropping in our house when we are connected to our home wifi network. If we turn off wifi, we have no problems with voice call reception or dropped calls. We have various models of iPhone and have never had reception problems in our house before, and I don't have any problem with voice calls when connected to my work wifi. About 5 months ago, I changed to a Linksys WRT1900ACS wireless router. I believe that the problem started when I installed the new router.

We are not using "WiFi Calling" or "HD Voice".

Has anybody else experienced similar behavior where being connected to a particular wifi network or router caused interference with voice calls?

Highly unlikely the router is causing interference if the problem goes away when the router is still operating. Do you have Bluetooth engaged on the affected phones? I would try turning off Bluetooth and see if that helps.

When I had Republic Wireless, I found Bluetooth & Wi-Fi did not work well together, so thinking it may help you. Let us know if this helps.

Turning off Bluetooth didn't help, but thanks for the suggestion.

Since it only happens when my phone is connected to the wifi, I'm thinking that there is something about the connection (mode, channel, etc), iPhone iOS, or Verizon software that makes it hard for the phone to establish a stable Verizon LTE connection for the voice call.

I am not trying to use WiFi calling. I stay logged into my wireless network at home to save data usage. If I try to make a voice call or receive a voice call while I am logged into my wireless network, I have poor call reception and the call drops.

IF you unplug the router and make calls in the same spot, does the call go through? 

The the wifi frequencies are not anything close to what Verizon uses. I suppose it is possible something is wrong with the router and it is creating a lot of EM interference. 

IF you have iPhones 6 and higher, consider wifi calling as a option.

I don't think it is signal interference because calls only drop when the phone is connected to the network. If I turn wifi off on the phone, I don't have any problems with voice calls.

I have enabled wifi calling on the 6 and higher phones. Will see if that corrects the problem for them.

That that is a strange problem.  Still, take the router out of the equation and use wifi from a different router or hotspot at home and see if you can make call with wifi on.  I have never seen this before!

You may also try resetting network settings on the phone. 

TIme to do experiments to track down the problem.

Yea, this is really weird. Driving me crazy. I have to turn off WiFi on the phone to make a call from inside my house. Didn't have this issue with my old linksys AC 1200 router. I'm going to try changing some router settings to see if that helps.
