New IPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max with swipe up “stutter”

We just purchased today the two new iPhone 12s - Pro and Pro Max. Not sure if this is normal or not, the initial screen swipe up has a simultaneous stutter or gear cranking feeling. I have not noticed this on any other action. Please weigh in.
