No VM visual alerts? iphone 6s?

Not getting the little visual alert I have a voicemail.  Online help said to go into personal options and press "1" to turn these on, but 1 in personal options is to change the password.  Anyone?  Using iphone 6s.

We definitely want to ensure your VM alerts are properly displaying. How long has this issue been occurring? Are voice mails present within the phone app?

  goldencindy, another thing you might want to take a look at is. Go into the Settings of the iPhone 6s to Notifications, then scroll down to Phone - Badges, Sounds, Alerts and click on it. In there try selecting ON for what preferences you want in place, or turn them all on.

I'm having the Same issue!

Voicemails and missed calls on my iPhone 6s Plus have been delayed. A voicemail and missed call I received at 10:30AM, didn't show up on my phone until 12 hours later at 10:30PM.  This has been happening on and off for at least 4 months or more.

iOS 9.2

Carrier Verizon 23.2

Cellular Data is turned on

Wifi is turned on

Is this a known issue? Does anyone have a fix?
