recently updated my phone number and I was having issues with receiving SMS messages. I was receiving all phone calls calls, able to send SMS messages and send / receive text messages from Apple users. But was not able to receive SMS messages. After 2 hours on the phone with Apple and 1 hour with Verizon, no one could find out the issue....
thanks to googling I was able to find the issue, which was the HD calling add on. If you are having this issue I would urge you to unenroll in HD calling and see if that fixes it. 3 hours wasted for a quick 1 button fix.
