Notification problem

I have the 6 plus.  I like to have different sounds for different notifications such as email or a text message.

Although I went into sounds and custom assigned everything a different sound it doesn't work.  I just get a buz

for everything...email, text, voice mail etc.  Can anyone tell me what I'm going wrong?
