Older Text Messages

Hello all, I upgraded from iphone5 to 6splus.. Is it possible to retrieve my old text messages.. Some are important. My old phone has already been reset to factory.. I'm hoping they are saved to my carrier or iCloud.

The only way I would think it would be possible to recover would be if you restored your device to an older backup that you still had. But most will chime in and have chimed in on posts like this in the past and say there is no way to recover them. That is what I've read numerous times here.

Mignon, I understand making sure that you get your messages over to the other phone. Have you downloading Verizon Messages + on your phone? With this you can back your messages and you should be able to easily move them to the other phone. Let me know if that works for you or if you have any other questions or concerns.

Your new phone needs to be restored from your old phone's iCloud or iTunes backup in order to have these messages re-appear.
