Phone won't turn on

I have the iphone 5 and it was charging over night and when I woke up it was off and wont turn back on.  I've tried holding the lock and home button at the same ti,e but nothing is working.

I am so sorry to hear about your device not powering on. Let's bring the power back to that device. Does the device respond at all when plugging into a charger? If you hold the home button and power button down at the same time while on connected to a charger does it respond?
