I just paid for the Preferred Pricing $40 plan in Sweden for my Verizon iPhone.
The calls or texts I make and receive will be all within Sweden.
The verizon representative could tell me what I should dial within Sweden +46 and then the Swedish phone number.
But what number can Swedes reach me at? How do they dial or text me?
And will they be charged international rates for it? Or what will they be charged?
they would dial your number like they would dial any international US number. they would be billed for the call unless their plan includes international services to the US. they would have to contact their carrier to find out the rates.
Thank you, I guess that the Preferred Pricing wouldn't be a good plan for me. Just cancelled it. I would just be irritating my Swedish friends with phone charges.
The rep I just called in order to cancel suggested that for my 6 week trip, I get a Swedish sim card installed in Sweden.
But that's a whole new question.
for an extended trip like that I'd probably recommend the same. if you're not going to use your Verizon services you may want to consider suspending the line of service while you're abroad to save money. in terms of getting a Swedish SIM you can generally find all the info you need online and when you get the SIM it's just a matter of inserting it into your phone and replacing the Verizon SIM
Thank you for the suggestions.
