Repeating text messages

I am receiving the same text message fro a known sender. How can I stop this endless loop?

Have you tried contacting them to see why you are receiving the messages? I take it from you saying that it is from a "Known Sender" that you know this number, so blocking their number would be out of the question, correct? Contacting them is the first thing I would do because they may not know they are sending it, or an app may be doing it.

My droid X has been doing the same thing for months. One of my contacts will send me a text and I will get it 3-4 times in a row, sometimes seconds apart. Not sure what is going on. I thought a downloaded app was causing it at first. I deleted a few of the most recent added apps and it seemed to stop for a few days. Then it started again and nothing seems to help..

I'm sure you would like to put an end to those messages! I'm sorry that you are receiving them. If we do not have a number, we cannot block the texts. Do they have anything in the body of the message? Do you have a 3rd party text messaging app on your phone?

1. I have no third party app

2. The message contains the same repeated text

3. Out of desperation, I finally blocked all calls and messages from this sender yesterday on the Verizon web site. Despite this I received the same message this morning from this now "blocked" sender. He does not see the multiple messages on his phone.

My daughters I-phone 4S is sending a text she sent a day ago again. it does not show up as sent on her phone. It just comes to my phone again a day later. She has also sent messages to people and it show she sent it with her email address not her phone number. I believe her phone just has problems!
