I keep trying to send text messages (sms) but they won't send and I have full service. I can make calls, send iMessages, check my Facebook, instagram and everything else....but I can't send a text...anyone else have this happening?
Is this a new line or upgrade? Is this the first time? I message works on data network. Dial 8009220204 from a landline or cell that's not yours to see if there is a text block id to troubleshoot. They can't help if you calling from the phone that has the problems. Let me know if this helps by sending me a message.
There might be an SMS block in settings.
iMessages uses data, and not text. You may have a block on your line, or if you recently ported your number to Verizon then there could be a text message delay up to 7 days I believe(this is with all carriers, but it's often no more than 24 hours).
I was going to say there's an apple network iMessage issue Siri etc. but your problem isent that.
Jayy389, I want to make sure that every part of your phone is working correctly. As others have stated, a block could possibly cause messages not to go thru. Let's try a few other things first. Dial *228 option 2 and reboot your phone. If no change, reset network settings http://bit.ly/RWB8pS. Let me know if the problems persist.
