I have blocked all online text, and even blocked text from the domain yahoo.com. After a day of not getting these text that simply say stuff like "Hello how are you doing today" I thought it was fixed, but they've started up again. I get about two of these a day. Please help.
Text stop to it. I think I know what you mean and I texted stop worked for me.
By the sounds of it, it sounds like it's Yahoo sending you text messages from your Yahoo Messenger account and that what you are getting is just forwarded YM messages, and therefore you would get these same messages if you were logged in on your YM account
Being that it is from Yahoo, I think that it's a Yahoo issue and not a Verizon issue
The best thing I can think of is log onto YM on a computer and disable mobile messaging, then you shouldn't get the texts sent to you from Yahoo, this won't prevent you from getting the spam messages on YM itself though, YM is full of spam these days anyway
I've blocked messages coming from online, and even blocked the domain yahoo.com and messenger.yahoo.com. The problem with blocking a specific number with mine is that every time I get these the number has changed usually by 1 number and the yahoo user name has changed as well. I have never used Yahoo messenger so I don't have a way to go to yahoo and block. What do I do?
Yahoo text to tell you updates about your account.
I don't have a yahoo account period.
How long have you had this number? Could it be possible that the previous user of your phone number used Yahoo?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
