I shattered the screen on my iPhone 6 Plus and need to switch back to my old iPhone 5 until I get the screen fixed. I tried to switch the phones online (which I've done with other phones on my account before) and I get stuck at the point that it tells me to switch SIM cards. These are iPhones so I can't switch SIM cards! Any ideas or am I going to have to call?

Have you tried turning off both phones, removing the SIM card from the 6+, placing it in the 5, then turning on the 5 and allowing it a minute or two to activate the phone? Moving the SIM card between phones usually does the trick, although a fall-back is activating on-line or by contacting Customer Service. I wasn't sure what you meant by "these are iPhones so I can't switch SIM cards".

The iPhones have a sealed housing though - I can't even get to the SIM cards.

Here's how to remove/insert the SIM cards:

The battery is sealed. The SIM card is accessible as noted earlier.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Got it! Thanks!
