I was told by my daughter my text messages were coming from my email account and not my cell phone number. I deleted all of our texts from the past conversations. Now it's corrected but I have the red icon showing 2 text messages and it will not disappear. I've tried to soft reboot and still nothing. Please help!!
No worries mitch555! Lets get it fixed. Go to settings > messages > Send & Receive > choose mobile number rather than e-mail address. Once that is done, close down the messaging application by double clicking the menu button, swipe up to close. Then go to that messaging thread and delete that text message thread. The notification should be gone. Let us know if the issue persists.
