Text Messages are only green

Starting 2 days ago, every text message I send out goes out as a green text message.  Even when I send to another IPhone, they are all still green text messages instead of blue IPhone to IPhone messages.  Has anyone had this problem before and/or can anyone tell me how to fix this or if it is an issue with the Verizon network?  I have tried over and over to get help from Verizon but have not gotten any assistance.

Lime77, we can get to the bottom of this together! First, make sure iMessage is turned on in Settings, Messages. Reboot your phone. If it is already on, turn off the setting and turn it back on. Send a message to another iPhone user.

Also under iMessage settings, make sure you have an Email address set as well as your cell number.
