Text message not received from other carriers

Hi I'm a new customer to Verizon. I'm using an iPhoneX bought in other country (I checked the IMEI. It should be compatible to Verizon). I'm having problem receiving messages from people using other carriers. But I'm able to send message to them. No issue occurred so far when sending and receiving text with other Verizon users.

I tried restarting the phone and resetting the network settings as suggested by others. But it doesn't help.
