Text messages

My phone will only let me send out iMessages.  It will not send out any other text.  I have shut it off and turned it back on, I also reset it.  I'm out of ideas. What could be wrong? How do I fix it?

Text messaging is so important these days! Let's get your text messaging restored. When you stated you reset your device was it a factory reset or power cycling the device? Have you tried to reset network settings? Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network settings. Let us know if this helps.
