In October my husband and I upgraded our I-phone 5s phones to the new and improved 6s plus phones. We received the new phones in the mail, and also two boxes in which to return our old phones for a bill credit. Our phones were received, and a $600 bill credit applied to our November bill. Now our December bill shows that we owe $199 per line ($398 total) for a non-return of equipment! When I contacted Verizon, they told me that the phones were sent to the Trade in department, and not the warehouse, therefore I was being charged the $199 per line. I was provided with the phone number for the trade-in department, but it keeps ringing with a busy signal. She said that the only way to get rid of the new charges is if the trade-in department returns our previous phones to us and we re-send them in to the warehouse. Apparently the $600 bill credit for the previous phones will not go away, plus we would not be responsible for the new charges either. First, how likely is it that they still have our phones after two months? And why can't their own company work together to resolve this? We did what we were told and sent the phones in the pre-labeled boxes provided. Are we now responsible for their mistake? Please help!
so you were to return the devices as part of the agreement for the new 6S phones to avoid $199 each
but you got $300 a piece for both phones?
sounds like you came out ahead on that deal.
Except customer service said that we would still keep the $600 trade in and not be charged for the non return fee. Not making out when you get only $200 for the phones overall and still have to make payments.
