Verizon BYOD (Bring Your Own Device Rebate) - False Advertising

So 4 months ago I was switched to my own line and was offered the BYOD deal over the phone for a $350 rebate, I was never told I had to submit for anything to claim this rebate I was simply told over the phone that I would be receiving my rebate within a certain time span after the first billing cycle. Now it has been 4 months since then and I still have never received a rebate, I contacted Verizon support today and they are telling me that the promotion has expired, and will no longer allow me to submit for a rebate. This is a complete sc-am and definite false advertising on their end. I am not happy with this overpriced service at all.
