Verizon Charging Pad: Light never turns green.

I have a Verizon Wireless Charging Pad (Fast Charge) and an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Seems to work fine. However, the green light on the charging pad never comes on (stays white) even when the phone is fully charged. The iPhone 11 Pro Max is supposed to support the "fully charged" awareness, or whatever it is called.
Any thoughts?
