Just bought an iPhone 6s Plus, trying to set up voicemail but screen is stuck on "setting up voicemail" any ideas how to rectify this, thanks.

You could try tricking the phone Into thinking that you're gonna make a change to the phone app voicemail settings.

Open the settings app; scroll down to "phone," tap on "change voicemail password.'' it may let you keep or reenter the same password. If it doesn't, change it. Then, afterwards, you can change it back to the password that you had in the first place.
