What happened to the service?

I had Verizon for years and only left for the last 5 or 6 years after I learned that Verizon did not protect customer records and would allow anyone working for the government to come in and look through anyone's call history, text messages, emails, calling patterns, buying habits, internet browsing, etc.  Well, I guess I no longer have any sense of privacy, and my memory of the tower coverage both brought me back, and it has been the worst month of my life. I cannot believe how poor this service is compared to my sprint phone (both with the same phone).

I live in the 34748 zip code, I only receive some of the SMS messages, my calls are consistently dropped, and I am a techy who knows how to update my phone (my spouse and I have the same phone, and the same problems).  What I want to know is what happen to Verizon service, and how I could get you to fix or replace (or maybe add) the towers in my area.  Of course, the phone not working is the least of my Verizon worries (stealing my money is worse, but that is not for tech support issue), but I figure that if I am stuck with you for the next 1 year, 10 months, and 28 days I might as well try to get service for a while too.....

I just looked this up, interesting.  Unfortunately, I would need to get one for my office, one for my spouses office, and one for our home, and at $250 a pop, it would be cheaper to switch over to a cell company like Sprint or AT&T where I could get good (and faster) service.  Its a neat idea though, and considering the drop in the quality of Verizon service, maybe they will start giving this away for free soon...

You're so funny. Do you know anyone that has Verizon in your area? Are they having the same issues?

No, everyone I know has MetroPSC, Boost, and Sprint.  I should have read into that first, but just never thought it was an issue.

This post should be moved , it has nothing to do with the iPhone 4s

Actually, it has everything to do with 4s, since that is the phone I am using and Verizon claims I am in the middle of a coverage area.  I figure it probably isn't the phone, since our 4s worked great on Sprint is the same area, and both of us are having issues with Verizon, but you never know, maybe Verizon put wiretapping software or something like that in these phones so big brother could listen to our calls too...it sounds crazy, but with what they are already doing, its not really that much of a stretch....
