Piperdau, I will be more than happy to answer your questions regarding visual voicemail. It is a service offered on your phone that allows you to see who has left you a voicemail and listen to it. Are you having trouble with this service on your phone?

Visual voicemail is different than standard voicemail primarily because it uses the visual voicemail app on the phone for listening and seeing the voicemails (displayed as text on the screen) as opposed to calling in to listen to the voicemails on a standard voicemail box.
Visual voicemail can be easier for some to quickly skim through the message(s) as they are printed on the screen and you don't have to sit back and listen to a 2 or 3 minute recording to determine what the message is about. It also can be easier to listen to the messages from within the visual voicemail app as the messages are "preloaded" to the app so you can touch on the message you want to listen to and then press the play button on screen rather than having to call in and then go through the standard automated phone system menu prompts.
Hopefully that helps!
