What should I do about my battery?

Has anyone else had problems with the iPhone 6s battery not holding a charge when the phone is less than a year old?  I have tried all the suggestions... changed cords, changed the charging brick, went to different outlets, blew out the charging port, used a USB on a computer, turned it off, soft reboot, and hard reboot but still nothing.  This literally went dead over night as I was using it just fine yesterday.  Pretty weak for a phone not even a year old yet.  I am hoping I don't lose all my pictures of my new baby since I can't charge it to back it up.  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As others have said simply setup an appt with Apple, assuming you live near a store, via their website: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

Apple can swap the device right there on the spot. In terms of your pictures, hopefully you have them backed up via iCloud, Flickr (free 1000GBs), Dropbox, Verizon Cloud, etc. If not.. w/ the phone not turning on you may not be able to recover them. If Apple swaps your device on the spot they are going to ask if you have your device backed up. If you don't there is nothing they can do, generally speaking, to pull the photos off the device.

I rely on my phone every day too. Is the phone not coming on at all anymore? Does anything appear when you plug the cable into the phone? What happens when you press and hold the power button and the home button at the same time for 15 seconds while the phone is plugged into the charger?

Your phone is less than 1 year old. I would recommend working with Apple, even if you did not buy your phone from Apple Store or Apple online, they will still cover it.

For battery, the warranty states:

If you're covered under warranty or AppleCare+, we'll replace your battery at no charge if it retains less than 80 percent of its original capacity.

If you meet that criteria, Apple will replace the battery. Go to an Apple Store or call Apple support if you do not have one close to you.

The phone does not come on at all.  Sometimes when I plug in the USB cord it'll show a battery with a red line down the left side.  Now it doesn't even do that.  When I do press the power button with the home button for 15+ seconds, nothing happens.  Before it would turn off (meaning the battery picture would go away) but when I turned it back on it was still the battery picture showing.  At one point it showed the restore icon (the power cord with an arrow pointing to the iTunes icon) which I was extremely disappointed to see as I know that deletes all data but it only lasted a few seconds so I tried to stop it.  It would never come on to see if any of my troubleshooting worked.

Weth,

Thank you for this information.  I am new to the iPhone so I don't know much about them.  I actually bought the phone through Verizon, not Apple.  I will look into it.  Thanks again!

Thanks for the details. What happens when you plug the phone into your computer with iTunes running? Any change if you press the home and power button while it is plugged into the computer?
