When charging phone overnight, my phone shuts off.

I have to do a hard restart to get it back on.  Problem is I use my phone for alarm in mornings.  It only happens once in a while.  Why does it do this?

Hello, I have a iPhone 5s. To be honest, my phone has done this for months. It only does it once out of 20 charges. I somehow I have been able to wake up and not miss work.

I use my phone as an alarm too. I'm glad you've been able to get up and not miss work, angel98034! When it powers off, is it still charging or charged? We would have to take a closer look to see the battery health. You can take the phone into an Apple Store and they can replace battery. Otherwise, please send a Direct Message so we can check things out.
