The phone is trying to dial, and eventually I get the message that it cannot connect as dialed.
This is contrary to, if an incorrect area code is entered, where one gets an immediate notification of not being able "to connect as dialed".
The German area code (0)7541 is listed in Germany, and is assigned to a very small area in southern Bavaria, near Friegrichshafen.
I have no problems connecting to any other numbers in Germany, Austria and Italy.
