Why does my iPhone keep shutting off?

and wont turn back on till it wants to! Whats going on? I keep it charged and and push all the buttons to try and turn it on what is wrong?

countrygirl36330, we don't want that iPhone on it's own program like that. It isn't normal for the iPhone to do that. How often is this ocurring? When did the trouble start? Had you done anything different with your iPhone around the time this began? Like downloading an app. If we know the cause we can find a simple solution like uninstalling any recent app that corresponds with the time the trouble began.

If we cannot pinpoint a change that ocurred around the time the trouble began, I would recommend backing up your iPhone and then restoring with iTunes. Here are the instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1414 . Setup your iPhone as a new iPhone initially and try it out for a day or two. We want to make sure that it does not power off on it's own like that before restoring your backup to eliminate the possibility of there being a hardware issue. Then restore the backup and let us know how it's working.
