Why doesn't my device ring when people call?

Callers tell me that 90% of the time they call me, it rings once and then goes to voicemail.  When that happens, my phone does not ring.  Any solutions to this?

Is there a half moon in the top right of your phone? If so, scroll the quick settings off and turn that feature off. It is do not disturb mode
