Will I be able to keep my tiered plan?

Okay so here is my long question.

I have a iPhone 4s that I got exactly one year ago and signed a two year contract. It is for 450 minutes, 1000 text messages, and 2GB of data. I want to sell my iPhone and buy an unsubsidized phone. My question is two fold. I want to know since my iPhone is 3g will I HAVE to switch to share everything or will I be able to stay on my current plan. Will upgrading my phone force me onto share everything as well? I'm worried because share everything will make me pay $20 a month for the same amount of data and I don't want to share my data and I can't afford that...
