Was on the phone for 10min before it started happening. I've tried calling multiple people since, and they all have told me that it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel or that I sound very faint. I've tried on wi-fi calling and with wi-fi off. My volume is all the way up and my bluetooth is off. Phone has had no problems so far, but some articles I've read online say it might be a Verizon issue rather than an Apple issue.
Can anyone help me out?

jessmelanson, this would be a concern for me. When did this start happening? Does htis happen on every call?

This started happening about 8:30pm on Saturday when I was in the middle of a call. The speaker was working fine but then cut out. I was using the wifi calling, so I turned off my wifi and tried to call again. Same issue. Everyone I've called since then has told me the same thing.
I'm able to complete a call on my Mac laptop using the same phone number so maybe something with the device? I have an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar set up tomorrow too.

I have an IP7 and callers describe the same issue when I talk to them, as being in a windtunnel.

I took it to the Apple Store and they ran some audio tests, turns out the mic was failing so they gave me a new device. I'd recommend scheduling an appointment with the Genius Bar.
