activate new phone if i changed sim card?

i got a  replacement phone, switched the sim card. do i need to activate anything on verizon? as in deactivate the old phone and activate the new one?

Let's get your service working for you. Once you remove the SIM card from one device and put it in the other it automatically activates the replacement device. The old one becomes disabled.
