I received a suspicious text message on my iPhone. I'm afraid it is malware. Is there a way of protecting my phone?

Never click links in anything if you don't know who the sender is. If it doesn't have any links and is just a text from someone you don't know then there isn't anything you can do about that except for block the number (click Details at top right corner of text, click on the info icon, select block this caller).
