On the iPad:
Make sure connected to same applied and icloud account as your iPhone
Go to settings / iCloud
Turn on Contacts
This should update the iPad with your contacts in iCloud (assuming you are backing the contacts from your iPhone to iCloud) and then keep the two in sync.

Hi Aguilb, to display as much information with your texts messages is important. Let's look into the concerns of why this is happening and work to get it fixed, When did this issue start happening? Are you using an app to send and receive messages? Share more details so we can look for a solution.

Hello,
Thank you for your response. There is no special app I am using to send the
text messages with other than the built-in app. It's a new iPad
(wireless-only) at the moment and was always the case.

aguib we appreciate those details they are very helpful. Let's keep going until we get this resolved. What kind of phone do you have? If it is an iPhone, do you use iMessage on it? RosanneM_VZW

aguilb,
Thanks so much for continuing to work on this with us. We appreciate your efforts. To be clear, do you mean this is a WiFi only iPad model? How is this device synced to your iPhone? Are you using the same Apple ID in both?

The names come from your address book. You need to get your address book on the iPad copied from your phone Or iCloud account.
