I'm travelling to Italy next week, and I'm wondering what exactly I have to do to my iPhone 4 to make sure I don't get any crazy charges. Not planning on making/receiving calls, just want to use the internet and text when WiFi is available. Is there something I need to turn off on my phone? Anything else I need to know?
Thanks very much for your help.
The iPhone 4 isn't a global ready device.
You can put the phone in airplane mode to turn off all the radios. You can then turn on wifi when you have access to a wifi hotspot.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
