My camera freezes erratically. I reboot. Sometimes I can get a couple of pics taken before it freezes again. What is the fix for this?

Ios 8.3.
3rd pty app same result.
Probably time to reset to factory conditions. If that does not work I'll need to go to apple care.

If you're not sure, I would start there. iPhones can't seem to delete cache and data like Androids. You have to kill the app in order to MAYBE delete memory from my understanding. You could check within the app to see if there is an option, you could also see if your camera has an update, but I'm just reaching by saying that.

If an app is unresponsive and your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch still reacts to button presses, you can force the app to close:
- Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
- Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

I can kill the app any time. However the freeze is on taking new pics. I have just killed all apps and rebooted. Brought the camera up and it was frozen to take pics.
You talk about a cache. Where are the settings to clear that for the camera?

I actually said iPhones can't clear cache and data like Androids, which is why you kill the app instead. That's my understanding anyway.

You could also try and download a 3rd party camera app.
