I had perfect service on my iphone 4 before the ios 5 update and now after the update everytime i look at my phone i have no bars. The only way to get bars is to turn airplane mode on and off, but the bars will still go away after a short time. anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it?
Try the usual...it may or may not work but you won't know until you try. Reset, restart, and/or restore your iPhone. You can also try contacting VZW to make sure there isn't a service issue in your area. If is a continuation of the problem in the 50+ page thread you also posted this in, then there probably isn't a fix if you have gone through all of the suggestions in that thread and have dealt with VZW and the trouble ticket process. So far, those with the issue before iOS 5 seem to be having better luck since iOS 5...while you say you didn't have the issue until you updated. Hard to say but it might just be an issue in your area.
