iphone7 no longer can stream Netflix to tv via lightning cable

I can use the Netflix App to watch movies on my iPhone7.  Until last week my iPhone7 also could stream Netflix to my TV via an Apple Lighting to HDMI cable. 

Now once I connect to the TV with Netflix running, the phone screen just flickers for a few seconds and then the stream and the Netflix App fail. 

I can still successfully push YouTube from my phone to the TV via the same Lightning to HDMI cable so it is not the cable.   I

The icon on the upper left corner of the phone used to say only "Verizon" or "Verizon 4G" but now the phone only says "Verizon LTE" where we are in zip code 27312.  The icon only shows "Verizon LTE" now even when I drive to a more metro area either (27519 zip code).  

Ideas?   THANKS!
